This type of residue can be removed carefully. Use a wet sponge. Create a baking soda poultice. Once the sponge is dry you may find that the water alone lifted the soap scum out of the granite.

All you need to do is just clean the granite countertops using soap and water. After the mold or mildew is removed from the surface of the granite headstone soak a clean cloth in the mixture. Do not use bleach or any solution containing bleach to clean your granite countertops. Use a product designed for cleaning granite countertops.

Rub the moistened cloth over the soap stains on the granite. Work the cloth in a circular motion allowing the alcohol to fully penetrate the stain.
