In most cases your daily cleaning won t require more than a simple wipe down with warm water.
You can use a cleaner specifically meant for marble or store bought detergent.
The one exception is when sealing a white marble shower like carrara marble.
Remember to clean frequently.
So your carrara marble countertops floors tile floors and even carrara marble showers should be sealed.
Be sure to cover the entire surface with the microfiber cloth and marble cleaner.
If you allow too much time to pass between bathroom cleaning sessions you will invite mildew soap scum and minerals to build up on your marble tiles.
It s a must to wait 3 weeks post install before you apply the marble sealer if testing shows the shower could be sealed.
Clean the marble with warm water and detergent.
To do this take a clean microfiber cloth wet it with warm water and systematically wipe the marble.
3 spray or wipe the surface down with clean water.
You should ideally wipe down your shower tiles a few times a week and dedicate one weekly session to a deeper clean.
Sealing marble showers is typically not recommended however for carrara marble it is a best practice.
Don t use soap as it is fat based and can cause the stone to darken.
This is important for carrara marble because it contains iron and metallic deposits inside the stone.
Wipe the entire surface including the marble shower walls marble seats and marble shower floors with a clean cloth.
Sealing a marble shower typically isn t necessary since the risk of staining is very low.
However you should try to keep your stone as dry as possible.
